Good Saturday morning, subscribers! This update of random things is a day late because despite things starting off at a more manageable rate this week, it sure ended with a bang that completely derailed my Friday afternoon plans. But, enough about that, it’s the weekend.
Today I am sharing with you three of the link curators that I follow.
- Matt Webb’s Web Curios is published every Friday. From what I can tell about the length, diversity, and novelty of this set Matt must spend about 18 hours a day scanning the internet to find this stuff. Each items comes with a lengthy discursive commentary which is interesting. He doesn’t always come right out and say what the link is though.
- Messy Nessy’s weekly 13 Things I found on the internet is another (usually) weekly email with a collection of interesting things in the world. As usual, I often have no idea where these things come from. We’re all just experiencing such different silos of the internet; this evidence suggests that the forums and searches and communities we each participate in are idiosyncratic and as differently shaped as all the people in the world. Stands to reason.
- Assaf Arkin’s Weekend Reading is a more tech oriented one than the previous, and a new entrant to my sources, yet still more diverse than the even more tech oriented options that I have entertained. It feels more fresh to me.
Some of the others that I have followed or still do: Austin Kleon, Naive Weekly, Dense Discovery, Weekly Filet, Things that I think are awesome, Curious about Everything, and Quantum of Sollazzo.
