Sea foam churning over a rocky point, with calm blue ocean stretching to the horizon.

I love this rugged coast. This isolation, those rocks, that sand over there, and the rough water. There is nobody around, nobody but the people I brought with me. The place is empty but for the sea and the shore and the sky. Each adds just the right something, just the right color maybe, just the right texture and dynamic tension. The shore, here, is abrupt stone. There is sand on either side, outside of the frame, but this stone shelf has the drama. The sky is a crystal blue, softened with some marine haze at the far edges. And in between is the sea, the ocean!, restless and relentless and reaching in from those far edges to bash on this rocky bit of shore, right here.
